Sindbad members earn miles that can be spent on free flights, flight upgrades, exciting raffles, promotions and more. Sindbad has 3 membership tiers. You start as a Sindbad Blue member. The more you fly with Oman Air, the higher your membership tier. Each membership tier is packed with benefits and privileges. Silver and Gold tiers brings exclusive benefits like lounge access, excess baggage allowance, priority check-in and more.
You will receive your Sindbad card in 2-3 week’s time after your first activity has been recorded in your account. An activity can either be a flight with Oman Air or spent at any of our Partners.
To make sure that your miles are credited automatically don’t forget to quote your Sindbad number when making a reservation or a purchase.
Please inform the Sindbad Service Centre in Oman at the earliest if you have lost your Sindbad card. The loss of this card will not result in the loss of your miles. The Sindbad Service Centre will request a new card for you and it will be sent to you directly. Sindbad Blue members will be charged 300 miles for every replacement card, Sindbad Silver and Gold members will be mailed replacement cards free of charge.
You can earn more Sindbad miles by enrolling upto eight immediate family members in your Family account. Sindbad miles earned by your family members are credited directly to your Sindbad account.
You can change it once a year. You will have to contact the Sindbad Service Center at email@example.com
No. All Family members will not be eligible to use the privileges associated with the Family heads Gold or Silver card.
Yes. A personalized Sindbad card would be sent within 2-3 weeks of enrollment after the Family head has completed first flight activity with Oman Air or after his/her first spent with our Partners. Please quote Family member’s Sindbad number upon booking.
No. Family members earn miles only for flying with Oman Air.
Yes, you can earn miles for Oman Air flights taken upto 90 days before your date of joining.
You can earn Sindbad miles both in the air and on the ground. Just fly with Oman Air or our Partner airlines or transact with any of our global network of Partners. The more Sindbad miles you earn, the more your choices to spend them.
A Segment is a flight activity from an origin to a destination. In general terms one boarding pass is equal to one segment. For example, Oman Air flight from Muscat to Beirut covers one segment.
Time required for miles to reflect in your account is
On Oman Air: Up to 3 days
On Partners: Up to four weeks
Just quote your Sindbad number every time you make a booking, check-in for a flight or transact with our Sindbad Partners and confirm that the name on your reservation matches the name mentioned on your Sindbad card. This will ensure that the miles are credited to your account promptly and accurately.
In case you've forgotten to quote your Sindbad number, you can still claim missing miles for up to 6 months after your flight or partner transaction. Save your flight ticket details, or invoice details, log on to your Sindbad account, visit the “Claim Missing miles” section and enter the requested information.
Sindbad miles can only be earned on flights operated by Oman Air or Partner Airlines. Code share flights marketed by Oman Air with WY flight number but operated by other airlines are not eligible to earn miles. If in doubt, please contact the Sindbad Service Centre at Sindbad@omanair.com

Sindbad mile is the currency of Sindbad. They are your key to exciting Rewards, exclusive privileges and benefits.
The Tier miles you earn determine your membership status or tier in Sindbad. As a Sindbad member, when you fly with Oman Air, in addition to earning Sindbad miles, you will also earn Tier miles. Tier miles are earned at the same rate as Sindbad miles and depend on the route you fly and the class of travel. Tier miles helps you to move up the Tier level from Blue to Silver or from Silver to Gold.
Your Sindbad miles are valid for three years counting from the date on which they are credited to your account. For example, Your miles earned on 1 February 2012 are valid until 1st February 2015. The validity of the expired miles cannot be extended.
We will do our best to keep you informed about you mileage validity. You can also keep track of your Sindbad miles and use them before their expiry by managing your account on Sindbad.omanair.com. Although your miles must be redeemed before they expire, you can use them to book a flight Reward that is valid for up to 12 months. This means that even if you can’t travel before your miles expire, you can still redeem them now for a future trip. However, validity of the expired miles cannot be extended.
Yes. If you are short of required number of miles to claim your Award, you can log in and click on the ‘Buy/Transfer’ option to purchase additional miles. You can also Transfer your Sindbad miles to a members account using the Buy/Transfer miles option. The fees will be displayed on the page.
Yes, you can redeem flight Rewards using Sindbad miles for anyone you wish.
Yes, you can transfer miles from one account another account using the Buy/Transfer miles option by logging into your account, the fees will be displayed on the page.
To reach the Silver Tier you require 25000 Tier miles or 20 Segments
To reach the Gold Tier you require 50000 Tier miles or 40 Segments
When you move from Blue to Silver Tier or from Silver to Gold, it will be valid for one calendar year. For example, if you reach Sindbad Silver on 17th September 2012, your Silver review date will be 31st January 2014.
You can use our mileage calculator to find out the required number of miles for various flight Rewards. If you do not have sufficient miles, you can purchase additional Sindbad miles using Buy miles option. To claim your reward you need to take into account the booking lead time, complete the ‘Reward Request Form’ and submit it online. Thereafter our call center staff will contact you and assist you with your Award ticket.
Yes, you can redeem your miles for one-way trips.
No. flight Rewards are exclusive of tax, fees and charges. You will have to pay them at the time of issuing the ticket.
Yes. Some countries (for example: united Kingdom) impose additional taxes or charges when you travel in a higher class. You will be informed of any additional charges when upgrading your booking.
There is no limit to the number of changes you can make to your booking; however, service charges will apply to each change.

Yes. You are entitled to all the benefits of the class of travel to which you have upgraded. These include extra baggage allowance, priority baggage and lounge access.
Please note that the fare conditions of your original ticket continue to apply at all times. For example, if there are any fees or charges applicable to your original ticket, these will continue to apply even after upgrading with miles.
Credit card information is required in order to cover the government taxes and airport charges levied on all ticket purchases, including those purchased with Sindbad miles.
